Icelandic Language Scholarship - Post Secondary
INLUS may award scholarships to eligible students to pursue study of post-secondary Language or Translation studies in Icelandic.
Deadline
Applications will be accepted no later than 60 days prior to the start of the class or session.
Criteria
- Must be an American citizen at least 18 years of age and a member of the INLUS either individually, through a family membership, or through a member club.

Applicant has been accepted by an educational post-secondary institution in Iceland or the United States and will be working on Icelandic as a second language, Translation Studies in Icelandic, or similar.

Applicant has completed the Scholarship Application form.

Two Letters of Recommendation attesting to the applicant’s character, educational interests, volunteerism, and related aptitudes must be submitted with the application.
Scholarship Payment, Permissions, and Presentations
- All recipients must grant INLUS permission to use their photo and name in all official INLUS publications and promotional materials.

Recipients are expected to give a presentation at their local Icelandic club, one close to them, and/or online at an INLUS webinar.
