Deadline

Applications will be accepted no later than 60 days prior to the start of the class or session.

Criteria

• ​Must be an American citizen at least 18 years of age and a member of the INLUS either individually, through a family membership, or through a member club.

• Applicant has been accepted by an educational post-secondary institution in Iceland or the United States and will be working on Icelandic as a second language, Translation Studies in Icelandic, or similar.

• Applicant has completed the Scholarship Application form.

• Two Letters of Recommendation attesting to the applicant’s character, educational interests, volunteerism, and related aptitudes must be submitted with the application.

Scholarship Payment, Permissions, and Presentations

• ​All recipients must grant INLUS permission to use their photo and name in all official INLUS publications and promotional materials.

• Recipients are expected to give a presentation at their local Icelandic club, one close to them, and/or online at an INLUS webinar.
