Gerrit Marks has made many trips to Iceland, especially the West Fjords. He completed a hike on the Laugarvegur Trail last summer, one of many he has completed.

Join the INLUS on Tuesday, April 14th, when Gerrit will present his adventures and provide many tips and resources for planning your own hike, be it an hour or two, or several days.

Gerrit Marks is a longtime visitor to Iceland and has spent over two decades exploring and learning about the country and its people. He has spent a winter working in the West Fjords—a region he’s very familiar with.

He is currently working on a book that explores the changes he’s seen over the past 20-plus years—as well as Iceland’s early history.
