Lummur (Everyday Pancakes)

  • 1 ½ c. flour
  • 1 ½ tsp. baking powder
  • ¼ c. sugar
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ c. milk
  • 3 tbls. melted butter
  • ½ tsp. vanilla


Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.  In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, butter, and vanilla.  Add dry ingredients to wet and stir until mixed, but not beaten.  Allow to stand 45 minutes.  Pour batter (1/3 c. or so) onto a hot griddle to make a thin pancake. Fry until bubbles appear and pancake looks lacy, 2-3 minutes.  Turn over and fry another minute.  Serve with butter and syrup.


½ c. raisins can be added to the batter.
