A Conversation on All Things Iceland

Have you ever thought of packing up and moving to Iceland?  What are the challenges, what are the delightful surprises?  Jewells Chambers, the person behind All Things Iceland on social media, will share her perspectives with us on Wednesday, October 20th, 2021.  She will be interviewed by Erin Johnson, another recent transplant to Iceland.  This will be a fun conversation you won’t want to miss!

Jewells Chambers is a native New Yorker who fell in love with an Icelander and eventually moved to the country in 2016. Iceland quickly captured her heart, and her fascination with learning about the rich culture, history, language, and nature led to her starting All Things Iceland – an award-winning podcast and YouTube channel. Showcasing life as an expat who is learning the Icelandic language and providing travelers with insight on what to see and do certainly keeps her life interesting and exciting.

Erin Johnson is a native of the USA, most recently living in Minneapolis before her move to Iceland in 2019. Erin has Icelandic heritage and was first connected to her roots in Iceland via the Snorri Program in 2013. Her love for Iceland grew by visiting Iceland each year and keeping ties to her heritage through the Icelandic Clubs in Minnesota. Erin is educated as a special education teacher and is currently working at an international school in Reykjavík. She is an avid rock climber and continues to be enthralled with Icelandic nature through this hobby.
