INLUS Photo Contest!
The Spring 2025 edition of the Connect is now available on the INLUS.org website.
The pages are filled with all new stories on Icelandic culture in North America and Iceland.
The Connect opens with the first ever INLUS Photo Contest. We want to see your photos of “Summer in Iceland.”
This March, we’ll be gathering submissions to share with followers of our Facebook and Instagram pages. And you get to pick the top three photos in our April voting round.
We also have stories about the Hekla club’s recent 100th-anniversary celebration, an unusual Snorri visit last summer, and a glimpse of three recent Þorrablót celebrations that took place in Spanish Fork, Utah; Seattle, Washington; and Mountain, North Dakota.
You can also learn about a traveling tapestry project that will make several stops across the continent this year to publicize a new museum project in Iceland with a focus on Iceland’s world-renowned “Njal’s Saga.”
To round out the newsletter, we have information on the Spring sessions of the popular INLUS Icelandic language courses (insider tip: registration is now open, and classes fill up quickly).
Lastly, we wish you a Happy Bjórdagurinn (Beer Day)!
