New Connect Winter Newsletter

The latest edition of the Connect is now available on the INLUS.org website.  (Newsletters Page Link HERE) The publication is filled with information on upcoming events, learning opportunities and even an historic look at a unique family that appears each Christmas season in Iceland.

Topics explored in the Connect include:

-A report that offers a first glimpse of the upcoming INLNA convention that takes place in Banff, Alberta in May 2023.

-Another story provides background on the homegrown INLUS “book club” for aspiring readers of Icelandic literature, and shows how you can participate.

-If you’ve been looking for a chance to start learning the Icelandic language, the INLUS has several upcoming opportunities that start in January.

-The winter Connect also contains three stories from participants in last summer’s Snorri program. Two stories from North Americans who traveled to Iceland and another story from a young Icelander who braved the wilds of Washington Island in Wisconsin. Application deadlines for next summer’s Snorri program is coming up early in the new year. The Connect has the details and a link to apply.

-If you have thoughts about creating your own private tour through Iceland, be sure to read Jackie Flaten’s profile of INLUS business member, Kent Bjornsson, who operates Nordic Trails. Kent has been exploring Iceland and crafting specialty tours for visitors for over twenty years.
